STI Policy:
To exceed customer expectations, prevent and reduce pollution, comply with legal
requirements, and to continually improve.
II.
Goal
The goal is the development and maintenance of a management system that provides
for continual improvement, emphasizing the need to exceed customer expectations
by defect prevention, reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain, and
prevention and reduction of impacts to the environment.
The TS 16949 technical specification, ISO 14001 standard, and applicable customer
specific requirements define the fundamental management system.
This Quality and
Environmental Policy is communicated to all employees and made available to the
public on request. The involvement
of STI's workforce and
external
interested and affected parties in its Quality and Environmental Policy is encouraged
through effective communication procedures.

Environmental Objectives 2008
1)
Reduce electrical consumption by 5%
2)
Reduce hydraulic oil consumption by 25%
3)
Reduce copy paper consumption by 5%
4)
Reduce graphite tray disposal by 10%
5) Reduce hydrogen use by 10%
